Reading and writing
| Third through fifth grade students come to our room during the day for help with reading and writing skills. Our room can be a busy place, with lots of things going on! |
| Reading groups practice their skills by reading Accelerated Reading books, both fiction and nonfiction. We also practice sight words, decoding skills, visual and auditory memory, and reading comprehension. |
| Writing activities help students practice those skills. Each student has his/her own journal to keep written assignments. We work on organizing ideas, mechanics, and spelling. |
| We always try to have fun while strengthening important skills! |
